Barcelona made it difficult for Chelsea to escape their own third in the early minutes of the first half. But Chelsea did break free towards the end and gave Barca some scares with Willian hitting both goalposts. He finally managed to find tuck the ball between them in the second half and Chelsea took the lead. They had a few chances to double that lead after that but could not capitalise on them. Finally, the lead was negated when Andres Iniesta set up Lionel Messi brilliantly and the Argentine ended his dubious goal duck against Chelsea. Barcelona have the away goal advantage and a very difficult second leg awaits Chelsea at the Nou Camp.
